I have searched a lot and posted a few questions on this. Still looking for the best brand of headers for my 70 Mach 1. Worried about fit since it's a 4 speed (clutch linkage). Anyone have headers on 69 or 70 4 speed?? Or just recommendations...

I don't know if this will help but I've got Cyclone long-tube headers on the 351W & Top-Loader in my '68 GT. I've had them on there for 20+ years and never had a clearance problem with steering components, clutch linkage or anything else. Never had any problems with ground clearance with them either, they hug the floor very well but not enough to cause any interior heat problems.

Again mine is a 68 and I run Hooker Competition Plus. Not easy to install as you have to feed them up from below and install the clutch cross shaft prior to bolting in the headers. Hooker has a set they say fits your car. What ever you do stay away from Hedman--they don't fit.
