Thinking of replacing the K-Code headers on my 68 fastback with headers. Hoping to wake the engine up a little more. I've got an AOD, so I'm looking for headers that will clear the tranny. Any suggestions?

I used Headman headders, but I don't have the same set up. With a '68 you shouldn't have too much of a clearance problem.
Good luck.

Most any header will clear the transmission, the problem is in the location of the h-pipe (or x-pipe) if you have one, because of the much larger than "normal" AOD. I have FlowTech Terminators in my '66. Not much ground clearance with them, and they were extremely close to the tranny pan lip on the driver's side, so I ground away a little metal (just for piece of mind) on the flange ring for more clearance. You can actually see how low my headers hang in my sig pic.

I put JBA shorties on my '67. Lots of room to route the pipes around your AOD. You are welcome to come over and look any time.
