Ok, I'm in having my second Scotch because of the Sh!*en retanier rings on SWMBO's vert. Is there a trick to putting them on? Should the screws be put on first and then the spring or what?? I am replacing them because the old ones are missing some of the tabs for the screws :p.

I wont even get into the PO has three dif kind of screws because of striped screw holes. Has'ent any body ever heard of thread rivets?? SH!T :: ::.

Ok one more drink then the SWMBO can finish up :p.

They are B##** to put in but you have to hook the spring first and then the screws. :p

Your right there a absulote pain, have a few more scotchs!!! trust me it,ll be eaiser
When i did mine i put the spring in the bucket, then hooked it into the retaining ring & while trying to hold the headlight in place, swing the ring over the headlight till it got close ,than hooked a bit of wire into the spring to pull it out enough to seat the ring on the bucket. Have fun!!!! Ron

The easiest way I ever came up with is to
1) back the adjuster screws all the way out
2) unhook the bucket from the adjusters
3) remove the retaining ring
4) replace the bulb
5) screw the retaining ring to the bucket
6) hook the spring
7) pull out by the spring to hook the adjusters
8) finally screw the adjusters back in.

The only negative thing is that you have to re-aim the headlights.
