Dear fellow Mustang enthousiasts, thanks for accepting me on this forum!

I have become the proud owner of a beautiful 1965 Fastback.
Technically there is not much original anymore. Here are some mods done to the car:
  • F1SE 302 cui engine
  • Trick Flow aluminium heads
  • Edelbrock 4BBL carb
  • Headers
  • 9 inch rear
  • disk brakes on 4 wheels
  • 17 inch wheels (will be reduced to 16)
  • Subframe crossover bars and various heavy duty suspension parts
The body has never been restored and has absolutely zero rust. Really amazing to see original paint at the cowl area instead of rust.
I will be using the car as a driver.

I am still in the process of getting the car registered here in Holland.
Can't wait to get the car on the road!

Regards,
PieterFastback

Welcome to the forum

Beautiful fastback you have there.

Where do you live in the Netherlands? I have family in the northern part and in/around Amsterdam. My folks immigrated to Canada back in the 50's

Welcome - looks like you can enjoy it right away.
Yep, almost. We have some different regulations regarding lights and also the windshield wipers didn't work. The car spent its life in Nevada and California, so I reckon wiper are not really needed in that region :)

Thanks, well you don't see many classic Mustangs on the road, lots of the recent years though.
Last year for the 55 year Mustang celebrations, over 1300 Mustangs met up in Belgium just south of Holland. The largest Mustang gathering in Europe ever!

My GT-A handle stems from a 1967 GT-A coupe,that I owned just before I found my current car, a 1967 GT fastback.

Well, original drivetrain was gone before I got it. I have a slightly spiced up 390 with a five speed Tremec behind it now. It has Borgenson power steering now and power disc brakes as well. Aluminum radiator with electric fans, but the look on the outside is still pretty stock and the interior has been redone with TMI sport upholstery. There are more details in my build thread.

Wecome, beautiful looking car 😍

My wifes relatives immigrated from Holand 4 generations ago. Not sure of where in Holand they originated but they settled in Herman, Minnesota here in the States.

It does rain in California and also Nevada but likely this was a weekend/good weather car.
