I need to know what the cylinders are numbered on a 76 302 and what the firing sequence is so that I can hook up my spark plug lines

remember to put the wire on the cap in a counter clockwise direction in the firing order.

I found out that the hard way! :)

On my 1968 the firing order is stamped on my manifold. You might check there on yours, don't know about you v-8'rs though. Maybe Iacoca just liked us IL6'rs better;)

So is the #5 cylinder the one closest to the front of the motor or most distant? I guess 1,2,3,4 are the cylinders from front of car to back ... so drivers side is 5,6,7,8 starting from the front as well or does it go clockwise?
