I have a 68 fastback with a 351c. I just put in a new alternator harness, new wiring from the headlights to the firewall and I bought a brand new alternator, which was tested 15 minutes before I installed it and it was charging at 14+. I hooked up everything up and at my battery I only get 12.55 reading on a volt meter. Can someone help me with where the problem might becoming from? I have a DUI electric dist. This problem is killing me and I cant figure the problem out. I fried my last alternator could the problem be in my volt regulator? Is there a way I can test it to see if it is good or has been fried?
