Go to FORUMS and scroll down until you see VMF Chapters. Post a message similar to this under Northeast Chapter. That is you best chance of finding someone in NY to help you.

My advice is to stay away of Craiglist.com in your search of somone to help.

if its a 289 - have them take the main caps off and build a wood crate directly around the block, it will be within UPS and Fedex ground limits then
