Why is my 66 pony hesitating while turning left or right as I'm giving it gas. I recently did a tune-up. Changed the cap & rotor, spark plugs, motor oil, tranny lube, rear end lube. The carb was rebuilt 5 months ago, it's a 2 barrel motorcraft.

Do you have power steering?

If you do - there could be a vacuum leak somewhere that is getting
more obvious when you are turning the wheel.

I do have p/s. But here is the situation. After I finish turning, if I don't "floor it" the car will not hesitate. If I floor it, it will hesitate, but for a few seconds only. Now, if I use second gear, it doesn't hesitate. If I use third gear, it will hesitate if I floor it or should I say if I step on the pedal to hard.
