This may help keep the VMF from getting littered with post like the one below this. It'll be a good way to let you guys try out your pics and sig lines. I did this when it was "pop to top" and it seemed to work well. I hope this post doesn't get lost soon.....

Just a reminder to those testing photos....not you bishir *G*...

Any photos or other items using markup can be tested in the "preview post" window that is an option with any post....do it, it works..

Any photos being inserted in your bio can be tested by inserting the file name in the bio, submitting the info and then clicking on your user name in any post thread or, for me, clicking on the "whose online" and clicking on your name....it'll be at the top of the list...

There's really no need to posts tests on the main forum...

Just wait, in a couple of weeks I'll be a head honcho....getting there the hard way *G*

BTW, since we have a search engine now, I'm hoping people will be more aware of keywording their questions and answers so the search engine will pick them up...

When I post embedded links, I'm inserting the name of the link in the hyperlinked area so the search engine will pick up the company name...

We'll have our own equivilent of a links page with the ability to search instead of having to thumb through all the links...

Keep up the good work, Court Jester! *G*

I am still looking for free hosts that let you steal bandwidth (direct link pictures) my Web Host #1 thread has two but the first one works on and off and the second one on there is geared towards auctions so I think it is deleted after a week or so (wait and see I guess).

I have a bunch more to test but it takes more time then keeping up with the new posts here, forget the old ones.

I've noted the database doesn't post the sig pix from the updated bio page when reviewing old posts...it must store the pix for those in cache or store the link in the page cache...I'll have to kill a few pix temorarily to find out...

Just hit the refresh button: it forces your browser to seek the internet to replace the cache for that page!

Let me check your shorts! My multimeter is just a-waiting!

hehehe....just when you thought you had me...

I have a cache killer program that clears my cache every 10 minutes...I use the computer for sensitive financial and business stuff and can't be too safe...

The pix in the bio run with the poster but the ones in the post and sig run with the post....I went back to two early posts and the race car is in my sig line....it hasn't been there for 2 days IIRC...

And yes I did hit refresh as you noted...

Jay, for free webspace I have had recent good luck with digitalrice.com as well as xoasis.com. Each offer 20 meg I believe. Digitalrice has upgraded servers in the past month and are quite predictable and consistent.
