i heard that you were parked next to a dark green concours trailered 67 GTA convertible at Pensacola?? That was Pete Morgan's car, the guy that I partnered up with to restore the 68 GT350 convertible.

I didn't know that. There's a pic of it at here...look at the group photos I saw Pete get a Gold Award at the ceremony. I didn't have a chance to chat with him...he wasn't around too much...I could have gotten a lot of inside rumors on you...heh heh...

A golden opportunity lost, that was for sure!

he said he was kinda busy with his car and judging, plus his wife and 2 girls were there with him.

Pete mentioned he was surprised that Laurie got a Bronze award. He said he judged it at the Grand National last year where it got a Gold. I'd be very interested in seeing Laurie's judging sheets or at least finding out what they took off for and how much. It sounds like they obviously judged the car outside of the rulebook.

Great pics. It nice to see faces of those we have not had the chance to meet yet from other side. Your car looks really nice, as does Laurie's. Congrats!

She broke a Sway Bar Bushing while trailering the car over from Tucson...apparently some pretty big bumps on the freeway caused the car to really jump high despite tie-downs. She couldn't get it fixed in time, and she told the judges what had happened (being honest). I suspect having a broken front suspension counts off a lot, eh? The judge made nasty remarks about her antenna being wrong (Laurie said she was the original owner and the antenna had never been removed). She also explained the 3 and 4 bolt upper arms (one on each side) and the judge looked at her like she was from outer space....

Pete was judging, but obviously not in his 67 class...probably Shelby's, huh? There were 5 Thoroughbreds there...man! you have to be devoted for that stuff!
