Well, decided to start the new year right and do a little Mustang work. December really sucked, kidney stone and for almost a week now, no heat or hot water because I’m waiting on a part for my radiant heat hot water heater.
So, since we have decent weather today I rolled up the Mustang bay door and tackled the headlight wiring and headlight assemblies. Pretty happy with it, although those headlight buckets and trim rings are a real PIA. Probably going to have to trim up my wiring some to make it nearer. Side note, not only do BFG T/As not do well, they’ll pretty much disintegrate just sitting in the garage.

Every piece is 1 less, looking good. Just noticing the 2 geetars hangin on yonder wall. Never heard you mention you were a stringer plucker.
I’m not. “Santa” brought me one of those when I was 9. Learned to play Red River Valley. When we cleaned out the attic after mom and dad passed away, it and the other on was in there. Maybe I’ll string it up after I finish the Mustang.

You know, that’s what Patrick’s wife said when I first started talking to him and look where we’re at :ROFLMAO:
Difference is, I actually have to listen to my wife…

Well, knowing Patrick, I can see her suggesting he find more hobbies to keep him out of the house. But it could have been, “Can I have a racecar, can I have a racecar, can I have a racecar?!?!?!” Until she finally screamed, “Yes!!!, if you’ll just shut up about it!” Not saying this WAS the scenario, but it IS a scenario….

Didn’t get a lot done today. Just too damp and rainy and nasty outside. Pedal box assembly I picked up at Charlotte Motor Speedway years ago has been updated with bearings earlier but the clutch pad had a little divot in it which allowed the clutch and brake pad to be slightly out of plane with each other. Shimmed it and now they’re even so my OCD can relax. Also, clutch pedal was moving around on the hanger so I welded it, making sure to keep it level with the brake pedal. All better now. Will snap a pic before I crawl under the dash and bolt it back in. Gradually easing towards that engine bay and its a big, empty hole….

Holly told @patrickstapler he was going to build a racecar, not vice versa...

Allen
100% true...right after the oil pan cracked on '66 GT and almost putting the car in the wall at CMP. Was it stupid to have that car on the track at those speeds...probably. But hey, I got a race car out of the deal... 🤣 .

Well that certainly adds a little bit of context…

Trying to get back on the horse after my 2 month episode with stones. Put in my battery tray so I can tidy up the engine bay wiring and started breaking down the steering column so I can rebuild it. Not much but it’s good to get back at it…

Actually you’re giving Rick a compliment. I got it from NPD, I just crawled around on the floor putting it in.
