Hi, my name’s Scotty and I’m addicted to Mustangs

It has been about 10 years since I have turned a wrench in anger. Thanks for all the help, tips, suggestions, scoldings and other help on here, I finally went out and pulled the cover off the 65. I even crawled under the rear, well I had to because the trunk was locked and I didn’t see the little slot to turn to unlock it at first. A few things, the Mopar guys who did my bodywork and paint did more than I thought. I knew they put new seals on my rear end and welded in my subs, but I seen new brake lines and hoses under there as well. Time to take stock of what I have and what I need. Snuggle Bunny and I will inventory the stack of boxes I have from NPD and find out how much of the original stuff I have in other boxes. Time to get moving. This will still probably be slow, but I’m feeling it. Thanks for the support, and even for the good natured shaming.

Had to drive a little but I scored a 94 H.O. cam for $20.

Damn man, I’d have given you a helluva deal on my old solid cam, lifters and pushrods.
Roller?
No. The engine has one now though :D

So I’m thinking ahead to my 5.0 and I’m thinking I’d be changing out the springs and installing the cam, painting the block, etc. down in the barn where the engine currently is, dragging my tools down there and using my portable compressor, etc. Wife says, “Oh no,you should use the tractor and bring it up to the garage and do all if it in there.” Damn, she’s a lot smarter than I gave her credit for, I mean she married me after all.

Where are you on that emergency brake? I'm sure you're aware of the slack in the cable so I'm just wondering since the rear end looks complete.

Pedals and column look nice. Day drinking I see...;)

Cable isn’t connected under the car. Seems I’m missing the little bracket that hooks to the rear cables

Mustangs are like Lays potato chips. You cannot have just one. I guess I am addicted as well as just picked up numbers 3,4,and 5. Two will be sold as is or parts cars (not sure yet). I have a concours trailered '65 2 + 2, so I follow to re-live some memories. Keep up the good work!

Lol

Cars are meant to be driven, while I appreciate the trailer queens, life is too short not to drive them imo :)

Bad66GT, with 20/20 hindsight, I totally agree. That is why I have a 2005 Saleen S281SC and just picked up this '67 Fastback that will both be driven. I have also found a concours car has constant maintenance. They are great for the oohs and ahs, and trophies, but I do not believe I will ever go that route again.

No pics today, just tidying up wiring in the engine bay, replacing some missing bolts in shock towers and started messing with the windows and quarter windows. Holy CRAP, that's a puzzle! Will have to watch videos a few times to solve this. Part of the issue will be what hardware I might be missing. Body kit doesn't have these so I might be ordering nuts and bolts from NPD. Will try to get pics of my struggles next time. We're under a tornado watch until 8PM so I'm in the house for now.

Side and vent windows in. Door window felts were also a royal pain. Will have some touching up to do all over the car. I’m not the most delicate guy. Cut up some 3x3 pieces on my sawmill to make some cribbing. Time to do brake and fuel lines next. After that I deplete the bank with a brake/suspension order to OPR.
