It has been about 10 years since I have turned a wrench in anger. Thanks for all the help, tips, suggestions, scoldings and other help on here, I finally went out and pulled the cover off the 65. I even crawled under the rear, well I had to because the trunk was locked and I didn’t see the little slot to turn to unlock it at first. A few things, the Mopar guys who did my bodywork and paint did more than I thought. I knew they put new seals on my rear end and welded in my subs, but I seen new brake lines and hoses under there as well. Time to take stock of what I have and what I need. Snuggle Bunny and I will inventory the stack of boxes I have from NPD and find out how much of the original stuff I have in other boxes. Time to get moving. This will still probably be slow, but I’m feeling it. Thanks for the support, and even for the good natured shaming.

I have Welsh blood, I’m not geared up for heat and humidity like Bamaians.
I thought you had mentioned having Welsh blood before, are you from Wales? I'm not but I feel like I am, my Dad was in the Navy doing anti submarine stuff as part of the SOSUS program so we moved every 18 to 36mths. Any ways I lived in south west Wales near the coast of Pembrokeshire from 73-76 and went to the local grammar school like a Welsh kid. moved to Hawaii for 18mths then back to Wales from 78-82. I graduated high school from a welsh school in 80 in a town called Fishguard. Hope to go back with my remaining brother for a visit. Sorry for the derail! "Hiraeth" in PA, kip

Here is a cherished piece of garage art I took down to dust, 13x20 carved from elm, had it since 73

Nice. No, just did my DNA and ancestry trace. Quite a bit of Welsh blood, even a few sheriffs way back there.

Haven't been keeping up but I think I saw some pistachios some where. Man, I love pistachios...

Allen
That was on purpose. Pistachios with sea salt. My go to. Now and then Snuggle Bunny will surprise me with some salt and pepper ones. They are how I get things done. A cold Captain Jack from a local brewery to wash them down doesn’t hurt…

A little more done today. Wired up taillights. AAW kit had bulb connectors but kit I bought from NPD already had pigtails on them. They weren’t the same so I just crimped up the NPD ones to plug into the AAW connectors. Also took my gauges out of the R panel and tried cleaning it up. I think I’ll try to fab a sheet of metal to back the gauge are and use it. It’s not bad, just a little flimsy. We’ll see.

A little frustrated and confused. Backup lights from NPD have a grommet on them that is too large to even start into the hole on my trunk drop downs. It does fit in the hole in the frame rail near the shackle. What’s the deal

Looks like it should fit. Put a little lube on it.

It wouldn’t fit, wouldn’t even start. Mark ragged me until I got a step bit and came in at an angle to enlarge the hole. Finally got them in.

Sometimes you just have to get your weight behind it and pound it in.

Set a self imposed deadline to get my car moving under its own power. Wired up turn signals and headlights today. Also set up my instrument panel so I can install it next. 4 solid hours today. Will be back at it tomorrow.

More work today. Finished the headlights and then looked at the relay harness I bought. Realized too late that I could have stopped wiring on the drivers side. Oh well. Spent the rest of my time wiring up the lights and power harnesses for my gauges. Battery tender plug in my 4 wheeler made a handy test point to see if they all worked.
