Good Gawd! That's borderline insanity if you ask me! (...and nobody has.)

http://my67heven.tripod.com/emsm.gifI was looking for a restoration of fantasy. I do not want my car to be as it was in 1967. I want it to be as I imagined it in 1967. -John Baird

It amazes me what people will pay for this stuff on ebay. Don't get me wrong, I've bought several parts off ebay.....but give me a break a hot wheel for $255. Let's see what did I do with the deed to that bridge?

With that kind of luck, you need to start playing the lottery Bill! I'd never get that lucky in a million years /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Thinking back on the massive collection of Hotwheels my brothers and I had as teenagers, we should be rich ... but NOOO, we had to smash them with hammers, and light them on fire and stuff!!!

Smashing and burning. That brings back memories. It was my idea to play junk yard and everyone liked it except the neighbor's mother who brought the cub foods bag full of parts to show my mother how I had corrupted her kids. Hmmm maybe she was just a little greedy. $400!?!?!

LOL!!!!! We trashed our Hot Wheels a LOT, but one day I decided to paint them, and wanted the paint to dry fast. They ended up in the oven, and came out with all the wheels melted. oh well, back to K-mart!!!!!

I lit it on fire and then blew it up with firecrackers.

Almost everything from the 70's and 60's is now collectable. Stuff from the 80's can't be far behind.

Sure, if we kept all of our stuff in mint condition we'd be rich but it was made to be played with and who knew anyway.

We should be profoundly thankful for the bidder willing to spend over $11K for a Hot Wheels. If it were not for people like this, we would be the lunatic fringe! Fortunately, we can point to this and the $15K we want to spend for a real Mustang looks pretty reasonable.

My friends and I used to throw em at brick walls until they poped open. We wanted a better view of the interior. Honest.
