It could be a bad power valve. If the carb is not a new one, or if it has ever backfired
out of the carb. -It is frustrating-. If the timming is to far retarded it will backfire through
the carb. If it starts OK right after you shut it off, but doesn't after a few min. it could
sure be the power valve. If you change it make sure you clean all the old gasket off
the metering block and bowl.
