Hi Guys and Gals. Do you have any suggestions on insulation I could put on the underside of the hood to prevent heat damage to the paint? Thanks!

Putting insulation under the hood will make it run hotter. Removing the insulation under the hood of my Cougar lowered operating temps. In the summer I needed all the help I could get, living in the Sac Valley at the time. So I'd say use as little insulation as possible, or go without. I bought some DEI(?) heat insulating tape for my rear brake and fuel lines, works good. They make bigger pieces , it looks like. You could stick something like that under the hood.
