Hello everyone,
I am putting my 1970 Mustang back together, but I seem to have lost one of the hood J nuts. I think they would be included in the following kit:

But that's a lot of money when all I need is one J nut. Also, I want to get a 1" front sway bar, and CJ Pony Parts has the best price on that (I try to shop at NPD, but there's a $50 price difference in this case.) So, will this have the correct J nuts? I know this is for a different location but they look the same.

A couple of my friends went to O'Reilley and didn't find any that would work. Maybe I should check somewhere else.

I know that O'Reilly has them. They're on a revolving rack. They come in different lengths and thread sizes so you may need to look at a few different packages to find what you need. If you can't find them ask a counter person to look in the Disco catalog.

I have some left over after I replaced my hardware. PM me and I'll send you one. Since they are all in a misc. bag right now. Send me the measurements. I have multiple sizes from replacing the front clip hardware and I don't want to send you the wrong one!

Any auto body paint supply house will generally have that stuff on the shelf. Ford # is 45268-S, GM # 1494258

5/16-18 thread, .02" ~ .15" panel thickness
.64 wide, 1.28" long.

Oreilly should have them as Dorman # 700-525, bring one with you to compare.

Thank you all for the helpful advice on such a simple question! The Dorman part number above worked perfectly. I was at work without access to the car so you saved me a lot of trouble. My hood is properly attached now.
