My 68 has an aftermarket hood on it. Is it supposed to have FORD across the front?

Thanks.

No hood letters on the 68. In fact, I don't think it says FORD anywhere on the body except the door sil plates.

p.s. Supernice car.

Coppertone's current condition:

I guess it just said Mustang. Quite a change from '65 when Ford plastered it's name everywhere on the car (surprised they didn't slapped FORD on the roof too). On my parents wagon FORD appears 8 times on the exterior.

The other guys are right - the '67 Mustang that had the same type hood (with lights) had FORD across the front. If you have seen these hoods with the letters, they probably came from a '67.
