My original 69 scoop has a pretty big crack in it but is otherwise good. The crack is all the way through but none of the glass is chipped away or missing. How hard is it to repair the fiberglass and will the repair hold up for very long? Would you suggest finding another scoop or fixing the original?

I think it should be repaired failry easily. Perhaps you should look up a good repair shop that works on fiberglass - boats or Corvettes.

Get a fiberglass repair kit at any autoparts store. Use the "fiber webbing" on the inside of the scoop coated with fiberglass gel, and just gel on the outside. Sand it down, and it'll be at least as strong as it originally was ... all for about $10.
