I have the same grant set up. I finally threw in the towel last week and disconnected the yellow power lead at the bottom of my column. I tried multiple fixes, but sooner or later the fixes just couldn’t keep up with this piece of crap. The lower and upper contact ring should have a small piece of soft nonconductive material to prevent the rings from shorting. Also, the horn buttons are notorious for popping off. I even drilled/tapped my horn button and shaft to use a small machine screw to hold the cap in place, which becomes invisible under the center nameplate. All to no avail. The rings somehow shorted, evident by the burn mark on my ring and cap, took out both my horns, but luckily didnt melt any wiring. Screw the horn...watch for finger!!

Unfortunately that govt money has to sustain me for some time. Both my wife and myself are self employed, so we get no unemployment. And if people dont start travrling soon, we wont be working.

I will look at both and consider.
