does anybody know where i can get a new door tag for my 66 coupe? i changed the interior and exterior colors . and i would like to have the door tag reflect this.

I ordered the door tag for my '67 fastback at www.martiauto.com They are identical to the original in every detail. I gues he'll have door tags for '66 Mustangs as well.

Mustangs Unlimited also has them, just give them the info and about $30.00. Also get the special rivets to hold it down. They are at http://www.mustangsunlimited.com Do a search for "stamped data plate" and you'll find them.

Pony and Corral in Oxnard, Md. does a good job with correct tags for $20.00 plus 2 bucks for rivets. You can call them, do not have no. and get it done over the phone. Just remember you must give them the codes for color, equip, etc.

Kevin Marti makes the door plates for Mustangs Unlimited, so you might as well get them from Kevin directly, should save you some time.

Well, I think you got enough suggestions on where to get the tag made up. If you are really into correctness, remember that the tag gets riveted onto the door on a slant rather than straight.
