I have Instant messenger running and it says I am signed on. When I click on the chat option, I get an error message that says to sign on and try again. What am I doing wrong?

So you have AOL instant messenger installed. Have you signed up for a user name? Other wise you might just want to reinstall AIM and try again.

Do I need an additional username for the chat? If so, how do I sign up to that? Or do I need to do something in AIM? I sign on to the Hudson chat without any problem. Thanks for the help.

Well you need a user name to use AIM. You don't need a special username for the chat you just need a AIM username.
