Hello all.

Working my way around the interior, I would like to clean up and repaint the
parking brake bracket, and replace the plastic handle.

I figured it would be easier to do on my workbench, but I cant figure out how
to get the cable separated from he handle. I have the rest of it loose now.

Any thoughts?

If I remember right, pull out the pin that slides in the track and serves as the stop and the rest should be easy from there.
Good Luck.

If its the hand pull type of parking brake assembly. Take off the pully and then pull the latch up (This is what the shaft ratchets on)on the front of the assembly and push the handle in a little farther then it normally goes in and you should be able to unhook the ball part of the cable without any trouble.

just reverse this to reinstall.
