Probably totally easy but I'm confused. I got a new handle that has a pin and a hex screw.

All I can see on the old handle is the pin. How the heck are you supposed to get that thing off?!

Thanks!

I took a vice grip and twisted it until it broke. Be careful not to damage the shaft. There are other posts on this subject that either suggest the break it off method or taking the entire assembly off and driving the pin out.

What I did on my 65 was I took a hacksaw blade and cut the plastic in half. I did not care what I did to the broken handle. When you cut the handle make sure that you do not start cutting into the bar. I used pliers to pry off the handle. After that you should be able to pull the pin out. Put the new handle on and pin and your all done.
