Is there a trick to tightening the power steering belt on a 70 351C with A/C? I tried pulling up the resevoir by hand while tightening bolt but it is not even close to tight. I guess I could get a pry bar out and pry on the resevior but really do not want to dent it up. Whats the trick? Oh yea the A/C is directly above.

I dont have one but there is such an animal as a "belt tightener" that has ends that go into the pulley grooves and is kinda like a turnbuckle....seems like it would make it very easy

I'd check JC whitney or harborfreight

Go get yourself a strap wrench, you know, the ones Billy Mays advertises /forums/images/icons/wink.gif... Seriously though, I got one at Sears, a nice one. Flip the strap around the entire resevior and crank on it... One person can do the job with that baby.
