I'm running the brake light circuit for my 65 road racing coupe. I'm not using the stock harness, so what I have is a hot wire running to the brake light switch, then a wire from the other side of the switch to the black wire at each tail light pigtail. I can't, however, figure out how to ground the circuit and I'm not sure how it was done originally. I'm assuming the housing doesn't ground, since the body is painted and attaches with studs and not screws.

I'm far from being a wiring guru and would appreciate any help provided.

Ground was thru the housing.

Black wire is tail lights.
