The guy working on my car disappeared. While working on it he changed the floors and rear tire wells. However, he chopped the front end off the car. Anyone know how much I should be paying for just the frontend to a 69 Mach? Need to start saving again, since he also disappeared with $6k. I guess I better start learning how to weld. Since I still need to put the rear frame rails and trunk in. At this rate my car will be done in another 35 years, just in time to retire.

Thanks!

Wow! Sorry to hear about this. I can't tell you how much a front clip should cost you, but I don't think it was specific to the Mach 1, so it shouldn't be too bad. Unfortunately with $6k gone, anything is too much. I hope he turns up again and you are able to get something back.

Wow that sucks.....I would also start hunting him down.
I paid a co-worker to install a new clutch on my old Toyota a few years back and he also disappered. After a month I called the cops to say he stole my car.....They said no he didn't we have him hear. In fact I think they still have him Behind bars.
I got my car back with a new clutch.....In the front seat. I only gave him 100 bucks up front so that paid for the clutch but I had to Deal with changing a clutch in a front wheel drive ****box..

Good luck

My fault for trusting someone. I have quotes, receipts, etc..... I have tracked him down Staten Island NY, but unable to locate any further. Turns out his wife divorced him to, so even if I was to bring legal action he has nothing. I found another restoration shop in the area. They are recommending that I buy a rolling shell and use the car I have now as a part cars. Thoughts?
