Over the winter I changed the two short, badly chafed power steering hydraulic lines that run between the slave cylinder and the steering box.
Does the system now need to be bled? Even when cranking the engine, the steering wheel is jumping all over the place.
How do I get the air out of the system?

Are you sure you didn't get the hoses crossed, the steering wheel shouldn't be jumping? You should just have to turn the wheel from stop to stop a few times to get all the air out.

Hang on to the steering wheel and you could break a wrist or sprain it!
