Hi Guys,

P.O. swapped rear ends on the '68 when he did the 302/AOD change. I'm 90% sure it is an 8" but want to be positive B4 I order the new R&P. Is there an easy to tell the difference??

Thanks!!

The entire third member bolts in with 8's and 9's from the front of the axle assembly. The old 7.5's gears are accessed by a bolted on cover plate from the rear. They look more like you'd see on a GM or a later model Mustang. 8's and 9's have no bolts showing on the rear of the center chunk.
