Can anyone tell me how to ID a driveshaft, from a rack full of driveshafts, that would belong to a 65/66 V8 Ford? I am still in search of a driveshaft for STang and need as much info as possible. Did not want to have to have one custom made. Thanks.

I can tell you that if you're running an eight inch rear end, you need a driveshaft that is 51 inches long, measured from the center to center on the u-joint cups. 28 spline yoke.

I have a standard 8 inch. I am changing to a AOD tranny and do not have the original 65 shaft. I DO have a Yoke to match the tranny and I know the length from ujoint center to ujoint center ( 51.5") and IF I had an original 65/66 V8 shaft I could just have the front yoke changed. Your driveshaft long enough? pm or email me with a price if you think it is long enough. THanks.
