I have a 9 inch rear that fits under my 66 coupe perfectly, but when I went to buy axel bearings etc., found that they are not the same size as mustangs (i.e. small - tapered tube vs. large - straight/non-tapered tube). How can I indentify this 9 inch rear's origin so I can buy the correct bearings and seals?
A quick mic'ing shows the following bearing measurements:
Inner: 1.37
Outer: 2.64
Width: 0.85

Any thoughts?

Pictures of the axles and the rear of the housing can help those in the know ID. Took me a while to figure out my housing was from a 58 Custom 300.

Doesn't really matter. There should be some visible part number on the bearing and seal. Any GOOD parts store can cross those over to their part number.
