Have the dominator set up for E-85 and run it as is.

So my take on this. Unless you dyno the engine you may struggle to sell it for a decent price. Engine dyno results will at least show what the investment delivers.

I fully support your view on a detune. Pistons, heads, cam, valve springs even clearances have been set for a race motor.
You really dont want a hot solid roller in a street motor nor the heavy springs that that might require.
You mighty get buy with keeping the diff and pulling the spool for a tru track depending on what box you put in between. If you put in a OD box the gears might be ok.

First. You need to know what you have. Could be a locker, spool, or wavetrac. The motor could be an exaggerated 13:1, and turn out to be 11:1 which is steetable. Detuning is nowhere near $8k, and your biggest expense may be a transmission of your choice. If you do the work you could save a bunch, and learn allot.
