I just drove my buddy's Eliminator 429- wow what a motor. That thing is fast and strong. Will smoke the tires for a second or so from 1st to 2nd (auto). What sort of HP is this thing putting out? It was a HUGH difference from a 289, I know that. What can I put in a 65-66 'vert to match that performance?

thanks
jim

You can work a 289/302 up to the performance level in the 429, even passed it.
You can also spend a little less, and work a 351 up to the performance level of that 429, even passed it.
You can install 289/302/351w and 351c in the 65-6 mustang.

The motors are a blank canvas, you can stroke it, blow it, bottle it, the options and parts are too numerous to list.

In our oval track engines...Here are the rules.
360C.I.
9.5:1 Compression
Single carb, 850 max
2 valves/cylinder
We get between 650 to 690 HP @ 7300 RPM

With the Hi-compression engine
12:1 compression
We get between 730 to 785 HP, depending on the cam.

That is 360 cubic inches....No nitrous and single carb...Flywheel HP
