I have had a full set of 1966 hubcaps restored and they are currently highly polished stainless steel. I intend to repaint them back to stock colours and wonder what preparation should be used on the areas to be painted that wouldn't affect or damage the areas that are to remain polished? Guidance would also be appreciated on the correct colours to use. Early research indicates one colour is called 'Argent', any clues as to the correct name for the other please? In fact any help or guidance would be appreciated. Thanks.
