Have you checked your intake to make sure you don't have a leak??? At an idle, spray WD40along the edges of the intake while engine is at idle. See if it speeds up. Also, spray around the carb base. It sounds like a vaccun leak, causing a lean mixture. This would account for the hotter temperatures....Hope this helps.
