Hi,
I am at my wits end, and I don't know what to do. I wasn't thinking when I got ready to get into my '65 coupe today and instead of unlocking the door, I just tried to open the door. Well the button pushed in, but obviously the door didn't open since it was locked.
I put the key in the door, and it would not turn. I had to crawl in through the passenger's side. When I tried to pull up on the lock knob, it wouldn't budge. I tried to open the door from the inside, and it wouldn't budge.
So, now, I am in a heck of a mess. I have the door panel partially off, it won't come off completely since the door is shut. The top front edge is stuck on.
I can hold the door panel out far enough to work in the area of the latch mechanism from outside the car with the window down. But I don't know what to do. The latch seems all locked up.
Please someone help me. It is just about more frustration than I can take.
Thanks a lot for your time,
John Thomas
