a couple years ago that someone was planning to produce repro the 3.50:1 gear sets for the 7" six cylinder diff. What ever happened to that?

Hmmm, never heard of this repo part being produced... or the 7" diameter ring gear for that matter. My Sprint 200 has a 7-1/4" ring gear -- Dean

Let's not break out the micrometers, OK? :) Nominally, the diffs are 7", 8", and 9". You don't go to Home Depot and ask for a "1 1/2 x 3 1/2" board, right?

Anyway, one of the six-cyllinder outfits said a couple years ago they were working on making the 3.50:1 gearset, but I've lost the bookmark, and can't remember who it was.

The 3.50 6 cylinder rear axle was quite rare, I've only seen two that I know of.

I have never seen that. I'm curious why anyone would want it with a low revving I6. Since the 200 makes low end torque, I wouldn't think it would benefit from 3.50 gears much.

When mine was still and I6 3 speed, it had 3.20 gears with slightly oversized tires and the RPMs were up pretty high on the highway.
