Ok, I need some major help here. I have a 1973 351c 2v mustang and this just started all of a sudden. When I turn the key into the acc. position AND/OR when the car is on and idling the alternator light stays on. I have bought a new voltage regulator, alternator, ignition switch and battery. I am clueless about whats wrong. As far as I can tell there must be a short somewhere after the fuse block because there doesn't seem to be any damage, shorts, groundouts in the engine bay. I removed the dash and everything and still couldn't find anything with the eye (nothing tested with multimeter or anything). After I drive it the battery starts to drain in volts and eventually current so I charge it back up everyonce in a while. What's wrong with my baby? Thanks for your time! Brian

how many volts does it put out w/the engine running? should be 13.9 to 14.7
have you bypassed the reg to see[jumped the conector] what the out put is without useing the reg?
if you have bat voltage after the bypass the alt is craped out, providing the wires ok
i always replace alt/reg at the same time
