Just want to know has anyone attempted this conversion.
I have heard of one maverick being done.
If you check out the latest Hot Rod mag. There is a nice 67 camaro convertible that has been fitted with a corvette IRS. What a nice addition. It looks very simple to do with the vette rear. I have access to a Super coupe and it seems like it could be a nice swap. Anybody??

I know the Cobra (ooops, copy cat guys , Sorry Caroll) kit guys use those rears. Have yet to see one worked into a Mustang.
Looks like a fun engineering project.

thanks for the info ...if you have any links that would help too!
This is giving me more a reason to put the extra garage out back. Like I need another reason ;)

Although the SC and Lincoln setup is more readily available, it is completely different than the late model Cobra setup. The mount points are different, it's heavier and it's weaker than the Mustang setup. Send me some e-mail and I'll send you some photos of both for comparison.
