Today I removed the stock steering box from my 68 with no trouble. I have the new Flaming River steering box waiting to install next weekend. Now that I have the old box out I am wondering:
1-Should replace the stock style steering rag joint with something better? Does anyone make a Heim joint setup to replace the stock rag joint? Is it worth it or should I just replace it with a new stock rag joint?
2- I am going to get a new Pitman Arm, are they all the same or does someone sell a better one?

You can replace the stock type rag joint with one of the polyurethane ones all the Mustang vendors offer. I have had good results with them. I see no reason to replace the pitman arm unless it has a ballstud built into it....most do not.
