A guy at work has purchased a 63 Tbird. The numbers on the block are C1AE 6013G and he found this number as well, A1 10:3

He would like to know what they mean. He is unsure if he has the orginal motor. he mentioned something about the balancer number being for a 430 motor?

I am also unsre how to tell a 390 motor from a 360. thanks

the C1 indicates that its a 1961 casting.

Thanks but I got that part. Thats the easy stuff, now I need to know the rest which is the hard part.

As mentioned, C1= 1961, "A" = full size ie.Crown Vic,Galaxie, "E" stands for engineering dept design, 6013 = the base part #,a 6013 is not listed in my book, it maybe a "6010", the "G" is the revision if you will.
Sooo, my guess is a C1AE-6010-G or a C. both listed as a 1961 390 "T"-Bird with hydraulic lifters.
