Check for ecessive wear at the throttle bores. Air will get in there and make it like your hitting the gas slightly. If worn, get a new carb and she should idle nicely. If you buy a rebuild, check this before you pay as many rebuilds are bad from the start because of this wear. This would be where the rod that the butterflys attach to, where this rod comes out of the carb body and you hook up your linkage to it to open the throttle on one end and the chock connects to the other end. Grab ahold of the throttle linkage and try to move the rod up and down, excessive play means its worn out.
