Can somebody define for me the terms "HTML", "Cookie", and "Markup". Probably time I should get up to speed with this century.
Thanks,
Jim

HTML - Hyper-Text-Markup-Language
Cookie - a note the web page keeps on your computer to remeber things
Markup - the characters in the text to make things happen like b BOLD /b
only it has to be translated by a browser

I've also heard that cookies can be used to access information about you or your computer for people who are interested in data mining. Sheesh, I guess my privacy just went out the window.

Ain't that the truth! I occsionally 'pull up' the cookies folder in WinMe, and get rid of (delete) the ones that look suspect. Be carefull however.
