I brought my 74 4dr. Maverick home and I am getting ready to drop in my wild 351w. It's got a C-4/ stage 2 kit, beefed up front end, my 8" with 3:55 traction loc, batery in trunk and 225/60/15 blackwalls with the original caps. This car looks like my grandmother just got back from church in it. I am lightening everything I can including, removing the entire back seat, cutting a piece of styrofoam the same shape, replacing the cover on the foam to drop weight (no one will sit on it); remove all the insides of the back doors (including the glass) and just having fixed plexiglass (closed) etc. I hope to drop 400 - 500 lbs when I am finished to compensate for the extra weight of the motor etc. Whats this got to do with Stangs? I'm going looking for em. So the next time you look over and see this big ugly old lady in what looks like a wig with a big toothy grin, say bye cause all you are going to see is her tailights. I told you I was sick !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Use Lexan for the windows. Reduce weight? Fiberglas skins for the back doors!!!
I have some rusty 10 inch Cragar SS wheels that would do for hubcaps.
Love a neat sleeper!!!
