Went out today to check on the cars, and there are a number of very black oily puddles along side the MaggotWaggon where I park outside. Usually, SWMBO takes that spot, and I noticed the puddles yesterday under her car, but thought it was just rainwater (it was dusk at the time). Well, I look under the hood, no leaks, no drips, no errors, yet the rightfront wheelwell is just coated with oil and grease! The puddles must be coming from rainwater splashing up there and washing the grease off. What the #$&?? I pull it into the garage, jack it up, and remove the tire. No obvious leaks on the underside of the engine, nor anywhere else. I see similar, but less severe, oil and grease on the right rear; none on the left sides. Brake lines aren't leaking. I cleaned it all up with SimpleGreen, and will keep an eye on it. Yes, we have big puddles from rain around here, but why only on the right side?

When the Exploder comes home, I'll inspect it as well. This is wierd.

Yup, FWD Honda. I inspected the boots, they look pristene, clean, and dry. I found a very minor oil pan leak, but it was so far away from the wheel, it wasn't funny. The amount of oil on the wheel wells seemed to be about a pint or so. I wonder if I could pick it up when driving over newly laid asphalt???

It does run under the rocker panel for about half the length of the car. The wheel well area that is oil covered was about the width of the tire, suggesting that the tire kicked it up...but only on one side? Still wierd.
