In ref. to my last post: "Shelby drop 71 - 73..."

Does anyone know if the Ford engineers might have incorperated the drop into these years during production? Is there a way to accurately measure the distance between the UCA & LCA mounting points to compare with the earlier years, just to see? You would think that they knew what Shelby was doing, so why not do it (for safety reasons) in production if it improved handleing?
