Ugg, after all my work I went to the gas station yesterday and filled up. The gauge was reading between 1/8 and 1/4 tank. It took 8.5 gallons to fill. Errr. I would have expected it to take 12 gallons. I am going to have to run it closer to empty to see what it takes then.
The repro senders will read wrong between empty and full, even if you get them to measure empty and full correct. The repro's have a liniear resistor, while the orignals were non liniear. It' have been mentioned before in other threads. The only way to get the factory gauge to show correct all the way with a repro sender, is to put an electronic box between them.
