I've been having so many issues getting my choke set that I thought I should make sure I had the thermostat housing correct. I reset everything today, but wasn't sure how to make the proper adjustments for the plate and fast idle screw without knowing when I was set 90 degrees counter clockwise and when I was set at 0.
Oh, that thermostat. Never seen one without a mark, but it shouldn't be too difficult. Block the throttle wide open. With the engine competely cold, turn the cap to close the choke plate all the way, until it is gently closed, not tight. That should be a good starting point.
