Hi guys,

I’m replacing the PS pump in my 302 with a new pump and (forward pointing return line) canister. The car has long tubes, so I’m running the BB type hoses. The new pump will be here Monday and new canister sometime next week. When I install the new canister, how do I get it timed properly? I made some marks on the old canister and bracket already. Is there an acceptable margin for error in clocking?

thanks
Joseph

I think I figured it out...the slot is the bottom...so, a slight angle toward the firewall...

BTW, The car was driving very well after the shelby drop, and your steering box and control valve. I've been board at home and decided to run new cooling hoses. After everything was done, I cranked the car up and the power steering pump started to howl.
