Hi all,
I’m just wondering if anybody on this forum could tell me a little bit about the history of my mustang, it’s a 1966 coupe straight 6 200cu

Hi, and welcome to the forum..

You'll need to give more info..because, well, all we can tell you is you have have a 66 coupe, with a l6 engine..maybe post some pics..

You can try using a VIN decoder like this..

Also, records were all destroyed for 66 and earlier Mustangs, so getting very specific info is elusive.

It looks like you're not in the USA!
If your car still has the Warranty Plate attached to the driver's door you can find out the original color, interior, transmission, rear axle, proposed build date and the area where it was originally sold.

Punch cards right? I think read that in Mustang monthly along time ago.

You can purchase a 66 Factory Service Manual on CD online for about $30. This will have a full data plate/vin number decoding section plus most everything you'll need for repair work.
